Geometrical PVCu Georgian Conservatory with Lantern Roof Coatbridge Lanarkshire

Stevenswood Conservatories are proud to have won the prestigious UK Conservatory Design 2000 competition for this recent commercial application.

Now used as a nursing home coffee lounge, this magnificent conservatory in PVCu replaced a badly rotted and condemned timber building.

stevenswood worked closely with the client and local and scottish Office planners to maintain its unique style and character

Exact copies were made of the stained glass and fully incorporated into double glazed units to create a cheerful and comfortable environment for the home's residents. The original cast iron ridge cresting with it's unusual design of Scottish thistles was restored and reused. The specification also included the superb lantern roof, external and internal feature astragals and access doos with fire escape conformity.
